Full of vitamins and minerals
Tomatoes are a good source of vitamins A, B, C and K. It is also rich in potassium, folate, calcium and magnesium. Tomatoes contain niacin, thiamine and phosphorus, all of which are essential for good health.
In addition to providing the body with all these vitamins and minerals, tomatoes are low in saturated fat, calories and cholesterol.

Tomatoes are rich in vitamins A and C and beta-carotenes which act as antioxidants that neutralize damaging free radicals in the blood. Tomatoes are therefore excellent for your health and your skin.

The vitamin A in tomatoes improves vision and helps prevent macular degeneration, which can lead to blindness.

Tomatoes naturally contain carotene and lycopene, often used in professional beauty products. They help protect the skin from sun damage and other irritants. Tomatoes also play a role in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Thanks to the vitamin B and potassium it contains, tomatoes reduce cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure. Eating tomatoes regularly therefore helps prevent cardiovascular accidents and other heart diseases.
Helps prevent cancer
Lycopene is also thought to play a role in preventing several types of cancer, particularly lung, prostate and stomach cancer. Lycopene, which gives tomatoes their fiery red color, is more easily released when tomatoes are cooked. Add a fatty substance, such as olive oil, to facilitate absorption.
